I had the privilege of driving my daughter to school this morning when she asked... Did you go to college to learn to be a mommy? Hmm, I definitely learned how one become a Mommy during my years at Penn State but to be a Mommy... glad she thinks I had so much training;) No, for the biggest job in my life, I didn't have any training. Scary, right?;) Would they let you practice heart surgery on a patient without spending a day in anatomy class?? But, here we are shaping the hearts and minds of little ones whose lives depend on our skills. There certainly should be more training. So, open your Mom Handbook to Chapter 1, Mommy Etiquette...

See how my house looks when you enter? Please return it to that same condition if you'd like to be invited back. Yes, I clean for you. I don't know you that well and I can't help but want to make a good impression. I also function better when my house is organized. If I went to the effort to clean it, please keep it that way. Trust me, it was like climbing Mt Everest and now that I've already cleaned up my kids toys, I'd prefer not to clean up yours as well. Just think, when I come to your house, I'll do the same. Unless you're one of those super cool Moms who's fine with toys being everywhere, in that case I'll feel like I'm on vacation and enjoy being at your house even more. But, I'm not that cool, so clean up your kid's mess! ...please;)
